I am an artist constantly influenced by my surrounding environment, creating figural work from memory or captured photographs. Influenced by city life, overstimulation is my normal. I am drawn to the human figure, it’s actions, fashion, lifestyle and culture. I actively take many film photographs that later appear in my work. I am able to collage images together in layers due to my graphic design knowledge, to create dynamic compositions with bold color. My work is an on-going investigation of the figure, and how color, abstraction, and expressive brush stroke can be used to either to create chaos, or make sense of it.
